Position Summary:

 

The Patient Logistics Nurse Lead (non-bedside) provides oversight and ensures a safe and efficient transfer process throughout the designated Dignity Health Arizona Division. The Patient Logistics RN Lead will work with all persons needed to evaluate appropriate placement and facilitate a rapid transfer including colleagues, physicians, transportation provider, and nursing staff from sending/receiving healthcare facilities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes all mandatory education and in-service requirements within the year.
• Must have strong relationship building skills and the ability to make and use connections throughout to complete projects and maintain strong partnerships with other departments.
• Ability to operate multi-line telephone system, computer, email, electronic equipment, calculator, copy machine/fax/scanner, office equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, co-workers, staff and all our health care facilities and communities.
• Perform on a daily basis: reading, writing, basic math, analyzing data, manage resources, finding solutions, and working with confidential information.
• Participates in performance improvement activities by identifying issues and assisting with gathering and evaluating data.
• Role Model for self-development.
• Identifies and takes action to improve patient safety by encouraging team involvement with safety issues.
• Coordinates patient flow.
• Services as a resource for staff on clinical care
• Performs other duties assigned by Manager or Director; or as required to meet the needs of the facility, and internal and external customers.

Important Note: this night shift schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM. Shift differential will apply.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• BSN from Accredited or Approved School of Nursing.

• 3 to 5 years of Emergency or Critical Care experience.

• Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Must have the capacity to learn other relevant systems and databases as needed.

Minimum Licensure Required:

• RN in the state of Arizona (RN:AZ).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MSN

• Leadership (supervisory) experience.

• Call center experience.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace.
