Job Summary/Description
Escorts hospital and ambulatory patients traveling by wheelchair, stretcher or hydraulic stretcher to their destinations.
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
Complete Daily Disinfection & Tracking Log for each patient that is escorted from one of the Patient Entry Points to their 1st appointment/destination capturing:
- Date
- Start Time
- Equipment Asset Tag #
- Type of Equipment
- Disinfectant Used
- Patient MRN#
- Destination
- Completion Time
- Sanitize the wheelchair prior to each patient using the Wheelchair "High-Touch" Disinfection/Inspection Protocol
- Following the Equipment Checklist for Assisting Patients on and off the wheelchair
- Transport each patient in a timely and safe manner to the initial appointment from the Entry Point.
- Provide courteous and professional service to all patients and their caregivers that equates to excellent customer service at all times
- Ability to follow direction, navigate throughout the campus independently, good communication skills and great demeanor
- Push 200 pounds + via a wheelchair
