Form of workPerforms various direct Patient Care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsible for transporting patients to and from surgery, Pre OP AND PACU. Cleaning operating anesthesia equipment,, floor, and lights in between and after surgery.
Assists with environmental maintenance of the operating room and handling of surgical supplies. Transports specimen/blood to the lab, but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with lifting and positioning of the patients with procedures as needed.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary.
