Front Desk Agent
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Familiarity with Front Desk procedures in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of phone systems and EMR systems is recommended
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including Google software
- Previous experience working in a medical office is a plus
