Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support in a dental office setting. Your main responsibilities will include coordinating patient appointments, managing patient records, filing insurance claims, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers.

```Duties:```
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities as needed
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment plans
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their needs are met

```Skills:```
- Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar software
- Strong patient service skills, with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is preferred
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental setting
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals

Hours:

Monday- Friday: 7:45 am- 5 pm
