Heuser Hearing Institute (HHI) is a non-profit organization that caters to children and adults with hearing and balance disorders in Louisville and many of the surrounding Kentucky and Indiana communities. HHI provides various services including preschool, kindergarten programs, hearing and language clinics, and home-based services for infants and toddlers through the Kentucky and Indiana First Steps programs.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Patient Care Coordinator based in the Louisville Metropolitan area for KY HEARS. The Patient Care Coordinator for KY HEARS will be responsible for periodic travel within the state, managing patient's appointments, medical records, and billing. This role requires a deep understanding of patient confidentiality and a high level of communication with both the patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and electronic health records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of medical billing software being a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment with sensitivity to the healthcare needs of patients
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
