WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Performs delegated Patient Care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
Documentation of Patient Care.
Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
A 16-bed observation unit that is an extension of the ER with a med surg concept
The goal is to monitor a patient for 12-18 hours and determine a diagnosis/treatment or transfer to an in-patient unit
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED Required
1 year Prior experience in a healthcare related field Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
