- Schedule: Full Time Day, 12.5 hour shifts
- Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals
- Location: Serving all campuses
- Premium Pay: Must be able to work at any or all of the following: Saint Thomas West and/or Midtown (Nashville, TN); Saint Thomas Rutherford (Murfreesboro, TN); Saint Thomas River Park (McMinnville, TN). Please only apply to the Patient Attendant position that matches your desired schedule.
Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
- Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
- Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
- Record all observations.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
