Patient Accounts Receivable Representative

Customer serviced based position. Part Time or Full Time is available.

In a medical billing office in West Reading, PA. Must work from the office.

Expectations of Candidate to be Hired:

• Exceptional attendance record and history of dependability
• Arrive punctually and is available and read to work on time
• Knowledge and understanding medical terminology
• Must use a headset
• Must be proficient with a computer and Microsoft applications

Job Duties:

• Make and take hundreds of daily phone calls
• Speak with dozens of customers daily and help them resolve their debt.
• Make outbound collection calls
• Answer inbound collection calls
• Answer questions for patients/customers
• Document all calls in collection software
• Post Payments
• Data Processing
• Follow-up on broken promises
• Use available resources to negotiate the best outcome
• Effective and empathetic listener / maintain call control
• Ability to understand and discuss personal and financial difficulties
• Understand how out of pocket medical expenses work
• Other duties as assigned

This position contacts consumers and works accounts assigned by clients (mostly medical providers, businesses and municipalities) in an effort to collect the balance(s) owed by consumers. This position requires an ability to listen and communicate clearly and negotiate payment arrangements while demonstrating empathy for the consumer’s situation. Understanding and adhering to all regulatory statutes: FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and other applicable regulations is imperative.

All calls are recorded and reviewed for training and quality purposes.

In conjunction adherence to statutory regulations, each employee is expected to follow company policies and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
