Job description

Overview:

The Patient Access Specialist plays a pivotal role in guiding individuals struggling with addiction towards life-changing treatment options. Utilizing chat and video tools, you will schedule patients with admissions counselors, address payment inquiries, and ensure a seamless intake processes. Your efforts directly impact patients' access to essential care and contribute to their journey towards recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote intake processes, prioritizing timely Patient Access to treatment within 24 hours of outreach.
    • Utilize various communication channels (chat, email, phone) to assist patients and provide support.
    • Coordinate with insurance coordinators to address payment queries and secure authorizations.
    • Manage intake documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient records.
  • Build strong relationships with current partners, raising awareness about PursueCare and its benefits.
  • Educate partners and patients on PursueCare's services and offerings.
  • Track and report daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:Comfortable with outbound calls and interacting with patients and partners throughout the day.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage effectively.
  • Goal-oriented with a persuasive demeanor, passionate about making a positive impact.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and friendly personality.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in using technology and computer systems.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in outbound call centers or inside sales preferred.
