Our multispecialty ophthalmology practice includes cataract, cornea, glaucoma, pediatric and comprehensive eye care. We are also involved in multiple clinical research studies.
We are looking for a Patient Access Representative to join our team in the Marlton, NJ office. This department is highly valued within the practice, so only those wishing to work in a stable, supportive and energetic environment need apply.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Answer and process all incoming calls in a pleasant and efficient manner.
· Accurately schedule patient appointments.
· Check-in and Check-out patients, collect co-pays and enter charges.
· Verify Insurance coverage and retrieve referrals.
· Communicate with other departments to resolve patient requests.
· Facilitate physician schedule changes by moving and rescheduling patient appointments.
· Answer patient inquiries about insurances accepted, office hours, services, locations, exam fees, and other routine requests for information.
Qualifications and Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Knowledge of insurance carriers a plus
Experience
· Outstanding communication skills and telephone etiquette.
· Creative and proactive problem solving.
· Excellent computer skills and ability to navigate practice management software.
· Strong and accurate typing skills.
· Minimum one to two years customer service experience in high volume setting.
· A smile in your voice, a sense of humor, and belief in yourself to be the best.
No weekend or evening hours required.
