Authorization Team Position Available – Mon-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Our Authorization/Precertification Team monitors scheduled surgical cases and obtains prior approval via phone, fax, and online payer portals. We provide the required procedural and diagnostic codes and supporting clinical records to the Insurance Company to notate all interactions and the status of the approval in the authorization record.

Our team maintains excellent relationships with providers, clinical staff, and payers. We are also responsible for obtaining approval for all Emergency and Urgent admissions for all MaineHealth Facilities.

Our Authorization Team's high-level of accuracy ensures prior approval is in place with the patient's insurance company to avoid a denial resulting in unexpected additional costs to the patient or write-offs for our organization.

Our team is extremely engaging, supportive, and likes to work hard and have fun. If you are interested in being a member of our Authorization Team, please let me know.

This role is 100% remote.
