Job Description:

We're on the lookout for a Survey Party Chief extraordinaire! As the maestro of the survey orchestra, you'll rock the stage by operating survey instruments, ensuring safety compliance, and orchestrating a symphony of surveying activities. We're not just looking for someone with a degree; we want a survey rockstar with a minimum of 3 years of field experience, a knack for conquering all weather conditions, and a work ethic that screams "legendary."

Responsibilities:

• Command survey instruments under the guidance of the Field Survey Manager.

• Dance to the rhythm of safety requirements and traffic control procedures.

• Juggle a variety of surveying tools and equipment like a true surveying ninja.

• Perform computations that turn lots, areas, and intersections into surveying masterpieces.

• Facilitate field work for standard survey types under the direction of the Field Survey Manager.

• Showcase knowledge of measurement error sources and the principles of staking and marking.

• Keep rockstar-worthy field notes for various surveying operations.

• Enter field data and produce positional information using handheld calculators or micro-computer software.

• Interpret control point records, data sheets, and locate points in the field.

• Master the art of plan reading and preparation like a true surveying virtuoso.

• Jam to the tunes of surveying ethics, technical standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of field experience that screams "I am the Survey Party Chief!"

• Proficiency with surveying instruments that make you go "Trimble, GPS R-12, Robotic S-7, Data Collector TSC3 – I got this!"

• CA Driver's License (because you'll be rolling in a company truck – no hitchhiking here).

• Ability to work independently and vibe with other crews when the surveying party calls.

• Knowledge of surveying computations, trigonometry, geometry, and algebra (the cool stuff).

• Familiarity with surveying terminology, drafting principles, and plan reading (because you speak survey).

• Strong work ethic, adaptability to various weather conditions, and a commitment to safety (safety first, survey second).
