Parts Specialist

Southern Field Maintenance, LLC is a leading material handling/heavy equipment/forklift dealer that sales, service, and provided rentals in the crossroads area. The company was founded in 1984 and headquarter in Victoria, TX. SFM operates out of a ~20,000 square foot facility that was newly built in 2010. The facility has 12 bays for heavy equipment and forklift service. SFM also has mobile service trucks for field repairs.

We are seeking an experienced Equipment/Forklift Parts Specialist with attention to detail to support and help manage the Forklift/Heavy Equipment Service side of the business while providing a superior follow-up both internally and externally.

Title: Parts Specialist – Forklift and Heavy Equipment

To be considered for this position, you must have:

· Experience in parts & estimating

· Ability to understand Forklift and Heavy Equipment

· Attention to detail and strong computer skills

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Valid Drivers License

Work responsibilities:

· Assist with Customer call-ins by listening to customers description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; checking previous maintenance records, and examining service schedules

· Secure parts lists and BOM for equipment requiring service

· Call vendors to request price and availability on parts; assist with sourcing of special parts; place orders; receive-in and coordinate with the Service Manager once parts arrive

· Call multiple vendors to ensure best possible cost and delivery for all parts

· Estimate cost of Parts and Labor to repair or replace

· Prepare work orders by describing symptoms, work to be completed, parts and service required and enter the order and parts information into the database

· Manage internal expectations by coordinating with Service Manager and Service Writer to ensure timely arrival of parts and customer satisfaction

· Coordinate parts returns for all unused parts in a timely manner

· Respond to all internal/external requests in less than 24 hours

· Assist with miscellaneous office duties, pick-ups, and deliveries as requested

Other Qualifications:

· Must be available to work at our Victoria, TX facility from Monday-Friday, 8-5 pm

-Must have valid Drivers License

· Must be organized and follow paperwork flow as directed

· Understanding of truck/trailer and/or Forklift parts and maintenance preferred

· Must be professional, have attention to detail, and superior follow-up and organizational skills
