Great Western Trailer (GWT) is seeking people like you to join our Parts Team as a Parts Sales Front Counter Coordinator which will be instrumental to growing our Parts Sales initiative. Our company is a leader in serving the semi-trailer industry and we are looking to expand our Parts Sales across the company. This role will be an integral part of building out our outside parts sale's platform and critical to our growth.
Responsibilities:
Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Pulls and fills orders from stock.
Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
Follows up on back-ordered parts.
Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
Ensure that all sales charges are signed by the customer.
Ensure that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
Solicitors assigned accounts by phone.
Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
Cleans computer terminals and printers daily.
Participates in all training programs that are made available.
Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
Maintains professional appearance.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in the use of a dealer management system (Karmak Fusion Preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills especially applied toward inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable networking within the company to learn and problem solve.
- High school diploma or GED; further education will be a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts, working in high places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately too loud. The employee may work in a shop, yard or out of a mobile service vehicle.
