We are currently seeking Parts Counter Representatives to join our Perrysburg branch team! As a Parts Counter Representative, you must be able to understand the customer's needs and consistently provide solutions that meet or exceed those needs. This individual must demonstrate solid Customer Service skills and able to excel in all areas of the position responsibilities including multi-tasking phones, parts lookup through multiple electronic catalogs, in-person counter sales, and in-house Service Technician parts needs.
Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in selecting required heavy-duty truck parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Informing customers of companion part requirements, sale specials, and ensuring that the customer is exposed to full product line
- Providing price quotes and relevant part sales or invoicing details
- Providing high-level Customer Service, including to coworkers
- Pulling and filling orders from stock
- Locating out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submitting emergency orders, if necessary
- Following-up on back-ordered parts
- Assisting Outside Sales Representatives with their order needs
- Receiving payment from customers or obtaining credit authorization
- Ensuring that charge sales are signed by the customer
- Ensuring that customers receive an invoice copy
- Issuing credit for returned parts
- Assisting with core returns and warehouse backstock needs
- Keeping organized records of all sales, credit, and refund invoices
- Keeping front counter areas clean and organized
- Participating in available training programs
- Keeping current on new and existing truck parts product knowledge
- Maintaining professional appearance
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Strong parts and/or equipment knowledge
- Excellent understanding of mathematics for pricing, discounting, and sales principles
- Excellent communication and customer-relation abilities
- Strong computer skills and systems knowledge
- Valid drivers license and meets company insurability requirements
- Pay based on experience
