The Holiday Inn Baltimore BWI Airport is looking for a Shuttle Driver for immediate hire. Come join our winning team!
As a Shuttle Driver you will be responsible for SAFELY transporting guest to and from BWI Airport, Amtrak, Marc Train, Light Rail Station and other locations within a 2 mile radius.
Other responsibilities include:
- Obey all traffic rules and regulations constantly throughout shift to ensure safety
- Assist guest with loading and retrieving their luggage from the van
- Open vehicle doors to assist guests on and off the shuttle
- Respond to guest questions regarding transportation, hotel services and local events, points of interest and activities.
- Maintain the hotel van cleanliness and condition checking gas and oil levels completing a daily vehicle safety inspection form
- Monitor activity inside and outside hotel during shift reporting suspicious activity
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel parking lot and entrance
- Keep interior and exterior trash cans clean and emptied
- Empty hotel trash bins taking trash to dumpster area
- Clean lobby as needed
- Stock hotel Market
- Deliver guest folios and newspaper
- Respond to guest requests as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience
- High school education or equivalent
- Customer service experience preferred.
Job Qualifications
- Ability to drive an automobile safely
- Excellent driving record as verified by Motor Vehicle Report and current valid driver’s license. NO POINTS
- Must pass DOT Physical
- Clean and Professional Appearance
- Upbeat positive attitude
- Knowledge of hotel services and the surrounding area
- Ability to hold a conversation with guests
Skills
- Excellent hearing required to accommodate city, street and expressway driving.
- Excellent vision required - correctable 20/20 for driving purposes
- Excellent speech communication skills required to converse with guests.
- Comprehension and literacy required to read and interpret traffic and directional signage.
Physical Abilities
- Lifting up to 80 lbs., pushing or pulling cart up to 200 lbs.
- Bending/kneeling - occasionally during shift when needed to lift or load luggage into van or onto cart.
- Mobility - walking frequently during shift, standing and some climbing stairs
- Driving - constant driving to transport guests to or from scheduled locations.
Environment
- Ability to work outside 70% of 8 hour shift exposed to winter and summer temperature extremes.
