Part time Surgery Counselor

Juliette Eye Institute as Laser Eye Surgery center, specializing in 6 refractive surgeries: LASIK, SMILE, PRK, ICL, LASER CATARACT SURGERY AND REFRACTIVE SURGERY. Our mission statement is patients first and we take pride in treating every patient like family and helping them see their absolute best without needing corrective eyewear.

We are looking for an individual who is very personable, empathetic, strong communication skills, dependable and caring. This job requires the ability to communicate well with different personalities and make strong connections with patients. Must be eager and have a drive to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Counsel patients on surgery options,
• schedule patients for surgery and check-in patients on surgery days.
• Stay current with latest technologies, equipment and answer general patient questions.
• Understand and discuss patient's insurance benefits: deductible, coinsurance, copay
• Verify medical benefits before surgery
• Prep charts for surgery which include consents, amount due, checklists
• Must comply with all policies and procedures
• Create packets of surgery paperwork for patients
• Schedule post op appointments

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:

Education: High School Diploma Required

Experience:

• Must demonstrate data entry skills
• Knowledge of all 6 procedures
• Knowledge of medical insurance/benefits
• Familiar with anatomy of eye
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Sales experience
• Customer Service Experience

Schedule:

• Tuesdays + Fridays 8:30am-5:30pm
