Part Time Sorority Housekeeper

Seeking a Part Time Housekeeper for Sorority at the University of Oregon. Our House Keeping staff helps keep our historic, five story home beautiful for our 50+ live-in members. We are looking for a dependable and professional housekeeper to help keep up with the demands of a large facility.

You receive paid vacation time which follows the University schedule.

• Winter break- 3-4 weeks depending on the year
• Spring break- 1 week
• Holidays recognized by the university

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities
• Cleaning/sanitizing toilets, showers, counter tops, and sinks in 4+ bathrooms
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with paper products
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
• Tidying up common rooms and ensuring all common areas are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Notify the House Director on any damages, deficits and disturbances
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety
• On occasion assist with dishes and other duties as assigned by House Director
• Set out/put away morning breakfast cart on Saturdays and Sundays
• Work with Lead Housekeeper on Mondays

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
• Strong interpersonal skills including patience, flexibility and sense of humor
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, bend, and do several flights of stairs a day
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check
• Current Oregon Food Handlers card

Time Commitment and Compensation

• 24 hour work week Saturday, Sunday, and Monday OR just Saturday and Sunday.- 6:30-2:30pm (We are able to be flexible with times)
• Overtime
• Semi-monthly pay schedule (5th and 20th)
• Vacation and Holiday time base on University schedule

Beneficial Experience: Previous experience with any of the following is beneficial:

• Prior sorority housekeeping experience
• Hotel housekeeping experience
• Other relevant housekeeping experience
