POSITION SUMMARY Lamar Community College is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Custodian. The custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.
Examples of Duties
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of events and meetings.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have your reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required

Salary Range: $14.42/ hour. 28 hours per week.
