Responsibilities:
The Program Associate is a grant funded position within Brooklyn Public Library’s Adult Learning Program department. The Program Associate will perform general administrative support, responsible for providing data management and data entry support. Administrative tasks and day to day activities include: managing enrollments (including NEDP), facilitating information sessions, assisting with HSE enrollments, assessements, intakes, orientations, filing, and preparing for audits. One will be responsible for providing phone and/or email support and will work closely with key program HSE staff. In addition, the Program Associate will coordinate with other data personnel to gather, maintain, update, organize, prepare reports, and analyze data.
Responsibilities:
- Manage NEDP enrollments, intakes, assessments, scheduling of appointments, orientations, etc.
- Data entry in electronic databases
- Triage multi-line telephone calls and email from prospective patrons/students
- Assist with program student follow-up and outcomes
- Frequent interaction with program staff & program participants
- Performs related duties as required
- Minimum high school diploma and/or HSE equivalent
- Strong computer skills, self-starter, highly organized, meticulous and a team player
- High proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Must be willing to travel between program sites to perform the duties of the position from any site.
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays as required
- Experience not just entering data, but running and analyzing data reports and taking action to improve data quality and outcomes
- Must have strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines as needed, work in a high paced environment, take initiative and work independently with high standards.
Please note this is an on-site position at the Pacific Library. Schedule may vary depending on needs of department - below is the tentative schedule.
Tues. 1pm-8pm (30 min lunch)
Wed 10am-5pm (30 min lunch)
Sat. 10am-4pm (30 min lunch)
This is a grant funded opportunity through June 30, 2024. Contracts are renewed annually based on performance. The work week is up to 19 hours per week @$25 per hour.
