Artesia Christian Home needs PT Housekeeper/caregiver for the 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. shift. (10:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Primary responsibilities are cleaning and disinfecting of facility main areas, such as lobby, dining rooms, bathrooms, and activity areas.
Also, will need to perform basic resident care skills, such as assisting with dressing and undressing or other ADLs as necessary, bathing and/or shower assistance when needed, assisting with safe resident transfers.
Observe and report changes in resident's conditions to Wellness Coordinator
Follow all procedures and regulations
High school diploma and previous work with elderly are desirable. Applicants must have physical strength and endurance, communicate in English, and the ability to establish effective relationships with residents and fellow workers.
Job Type: Part-time
Performing basic resident care such as bathing, dressing and other ADL's as needed.
Reporting change of conditions to nurses, and following procedures and meeting regulations as trained.
Experience, and/or desire to learn to engage Dementia residents in participating actively in their day to day living, and provide nurture and Dementia interventions as needed is desired in prospective candidates.
