Behavioral Health Therapist
Starting Wage of $32.50 per hour
with additional consideration for experience and licensure
$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
(to be forgiven over 36 months)

$10,000 3-YEAR CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS
The individual hired will work in a clinic setting with flexible day shift hours, Monday through Friday, with free supervision available to pursue an independent license.
Part-time hours: Scheduled at 2 days per week for 18 hours with consideration for flexibility. Includes documentation time, with additional non-direct care hours available.
Full-time hours: Scheduled at 4 days per week with consideration for flexibility. Includes documentation time, with additional non-direct care hours available up to 40 hours, but not required.
The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling and support services for a mixed caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict.
Qualifications include a current license in good standing in the state of South Dakota for one of the following:
Other licenses may be considered.
Out of state licenses may be considered if reciprocity can be obtained within 90 days.
Licensed in addiction counseling is preferred, but not required.
Prior Meditech experience is preferred, but not required.
Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program will be required.

Wagner Community Memorial Hospital - Avera (WCMH-A) is a 15-bed critical access hospital (CAH) located in Wagner, SD in Charles Mix county. The hospital houses a newly-renovated Behavioral Health department which was completed in November 2023. WCMH-A serves the community of Wagner and approximately half of Charles Mix County, including but not limited to, Lake Andes, Ravinia, Marty, Pickstown, Dante, and Greenwood. Charles Mix County is located in the central southern part of South Dakota. The hospital also serves patients from Delmont located in Douglas County, Avon located in Bon Homme County, and other surrounding communities not located within Charles Mix County.

- Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW)
- License Certified Social Worker- Private or independent practice (LCSW-PIP)
- Licensed Psychologist
- Licensed Professional Counselor- Mental Health (LPC-MH)
