Masterprep Academy is a premier provider of after-school classes and tutoring services. We specialize in preparing students to score well on standardized tests (ACT, SAT, SSAT, PSAT, SAT Subject, ISEE, USABO, USNCO, AP Tests), but we also support student's academic progress by offering GPA Management and College Admission Counseling services.

• Small class sizes! We cap our class size at 6 students in order to ensure individualized attention and assistance for each student.
• Proprietary curriculum! We develop our own teaching materials for many of our courses, ensuring our instruction is keeping up with changes to local school district curriculum, as well as with changes to standardized test structure and content.
• Track record of success! We only hire teachers who have demonstrated an ability to do well on standardized tests, along with a track record of successfully teaching students how to score well on standardized tests.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire an experienced Latin Instructor to be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies for our students interested in taking Latin courses. Your expertise will be vital in creating engaging and innovative Latin curricula, providing students with the historical, cultural, and literacy context of Latin, and supporting students' academic growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Latin Instructor to make a positive impact on students' language acquisition and help them achieve their language learning goals. This is a Flexible, Part-Time opportunity.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Latin, Classical Studies, K-12 Education, or any related field (required)
• Master's degree in Latin, Classical Studies, K-12 Education, or any related field from an accredited college or university (preferred)
• 1 year experience as a Latin instructor or tutor (required)
• Successful track record of developing students knowledge in learning Latin (required)
• Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Enthusiastic about working with students and parents
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Highly organized and detail-oriented (attention to detail and accuracy are imperative)
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines

JOB DUTIES:

• Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum Development to develop lesson plans and curricula as needed
• Develop Latin Curriculum for our students
• Deliver interactive and engaging Latin lessons for students
• Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, including tests, assignments, and participation, and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide homework help as needed
• Able to lead a classroom of students effectively and work efficiently with students
• Good classroom management skills

• 2PM

• 8PM

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $25-35 per hour
