Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Kindergarten Teacher beginning in February. Our student, will be enrolled in Laurel Springs School, a fully accredited online private school. While all curriculum will be provided, you should be a the teacher who is skilled in adapting lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and monitoring student progress. This role is located at the student's home in Windermere, FL.
Length: 3 months | February to May. Second semester will begin in September 2024
Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Time: 10am-12pm | 6 hours/week
Responsibilities:
-Teach foundational skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development
- Utilize learning technologies and educational resources to enhance instruction
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance with written monthly reports
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Update the student's Calendar weekly with both upcoming and past activities to keep track of student's pace and progress in each subject
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Experience teaching children in Kindergarten
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- communication between teachers, parents and agency
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
- Ability to get background checked
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $60.00 per hour
