The classroom aide will assist in coordinating activities. The aide will ensure student safety and well-being while on campus. 3+ years of childcare experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exercise good classroom management with the use of fair and consistent standards and appropriate sanctions that are clearly articulated to the students
• Encourage students to ask questions and to express their feelings.
• Provide opportunities for student expression using spoken, written, and electronic forms of communication
• Provide a safe learning environment in which students can take intellectual risks
• Use learning resources and technology to enhance lessons where appropriate
• Assist in creating a stimulating and challenging learning environment
• Develop student cooperation and tolerance through group work
• Assist in creating an environment that fosters a global mindset
• Assist in creating an atmosphere of mutual respect
• Assist students in taking responsibility for their own actions
• Follow academic and school protocols
• Attend meetings as required
• Experience in the private school sector is preferred but not required
