Job Duties:
1. Provide instruction to community members, industry partners, and Aims students. Topics may include but are not limited to: Personal Enrichment, Computer, Professional Development, Alternative Health and Wellness courses.
2. Create course outlines and class materials as needed.
3. Incorporate current subject matter expertise into instruction.
4. Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
5. Supervise students to ensure the safe and proper use of the facility, equipment and supplies.
6. Employ relevant teaching tools, strategies, and classroom technologies.
7. Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
8. Demonstrate continuous commitment to quality instruction.
9. Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
10. Work as a team member with a genuine spirit of cooperation and flexibility.
11. Must be self-directed and self-motivated.
12. Participate in advisory committee meetings and activities as required.
13. Assist in developing quality relationships with business, industry, and community members.
14. Implement department, division, and institutional goals as assigned.

Work Hours:

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Two years experience in subject matter.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Degree or relevant certifications in area of expertise
2. Two years instruction in area of expertise
3. Three to five years industry experience in subject matter
