Part-Time Instructor/ Applied Engineering Technology

Primary Purpose of Position

The Department of Applied Engineering Technology is accepting applications for part-time instructors. Part-time adjunct instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach a variety of courses in the following programs delivered by the Department: B.S. in Applied Engineering Technology, B.S. in Automotive Engineering Technology, M.S. in Technology Management, and Ph.D. in Applied Science and Technology. The maximum teaching load is three courses per semester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching in-person courses or online courses, participating in teaching training, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, participating in department faculty and staff meeting, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of Applied Engineering Technology supports over 200 undergraduate and graduate students. The Department offers four programs: a B.S. in Applied Engineering Technology, a B.S. in Automotive Engineering Technology, an M.S. in Technology Management, and a Ph.D. in Applied Science and Technology. Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have a Master's degree in industrial and systems engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field at the time of application.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Candidates with minimum of one year teaching experience at the University or Community College level and with related industrial experience.
