JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Student Success Center under the Unit of Undergraduate Education is seeking graduate students to fill part-time "Graduate Intern/Success Coach" positions. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to case management, and providing academic and life skills coaching to students participating in the center's programs and initiatives, including Complete Penn State.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advocate and support students from diverse populations while collaborating with various administrators, academic advisors, and faculty within the Penn State community. Preferred experience includes knowledge of student information systems (CANVAS, Starfish, LionPATH, Google Suite, and Office 365), desire to provide equitable support to diverse student populations such as, first-generation students, adult learners, online learners, and students who identify as being from historically minoritized and marginalized communities. Successful candidates will also possess strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills.
The position will require 15-20 hours a week through May 2023 (excluding university holidays). The option to extend employment through Summer 2023 (June - August) may also be possible. Candidates must be enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Penn State. Preference will be given to those pursuing an advanced degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, or Counseling, and graduate students interested in obtaining undergraduate student support experience.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
