Leslie & Associates is excited to be working with our client, a growing agriculture business, who is looking for a part-time (20 – 25hrs per week) Finance Manager to join their team. Located in Eastern Washington State, this position will be responsible for overseeing financial activities and providing strategic guidance to ensure the financial health and success of the organization.?

Responsibilities:
Develop in collaboration with the VP of Finance financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance and applicable regulations.
Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and financial reporting.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management review.
Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, including coordination with department heads and senior management.
Coordinate and manage external audits and examinations.
Monitor for accuracy cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure activities.
Working in collaboration with CPA and Legal team on compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager (or similar role), preferably within the agriculture or related industry (trees, fruits, nuts)
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive mindset, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Experience with agricultural commodities, farming operations, or agribusiness is a plus.
