The Gatesworth, a luxury senior independent living, is hiring for PT evening (Mon-Wed 4p-12:30a). The Housekeeper at The Gatesworth is responsible for the daily cleaning of apartments, common area and other assigned areas, and for helping maintain a safe and secure community for the residents. The evening Housekeeper also represents The Gatesworth to the residents, their guests, families and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Follows policies and procedures as set by the Housekeeping Director in all areas of duties as outlined in the Employee Handbook as well as the Housekeeping Departmental Policies & Procedures Manual.
- Uses all equipment and chemicals in the correct manner to ensure maximum cleanliness and eliminate waste or damage. Willing and able to learn and understand what Material Safety Data Sheets are and where they are located.
- Follows established schedule for cleaning routines and follows Director’s instructions regarding daily changes or assignments.
- Uses all equipment and chemicals in the correct manner to ensure maximum cleanliness and eliminate waste or damage.
- Assists in clean-up of emergency calls/spills.
- Reports maintenance and safety items to Facilities Director, Housekeeping Director, or Maintenance and Housekeeping assistant when observed, or to the receptionist if on the weekend.
- Participates in emergency evacuation and fire drill sessions.
- Will be required to work weekends, holidays, after scheduled hours if necessary for normal weekend shift coverage, projects, special functions, etc.
- Responsible for cleaning common areas as assigned; including vacuuming, mopping, dusting tables, pictures and baseboards.
- Follows established guidelines for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding residents and their personal information.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- 2 years of housekeeping experience
