Job Objective:

The E-Commerce Product Lister assists with the processing functions of our online retail business by evaluating and posting various merchandise for sale on eBay.com and various other online auction-oriented sites. Merchandise will include, but not be limited to clothing, shoes, and accessories, furniture, musical instruments, jewelry, decorative items, housewares, art, electronics, sports equipment, bicycles, collectibles, and vintage/antique items.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Using the internet, published guidelines, and consultation with experts, research potential merchandise to be placed online for sale, determining information such as the type and function of the item, fair market value, eligibility for vintage/antique status, brand, potential buyers, whether the item is genuine, and other details in order to make an educated assessment as to the item’s salability on our online markets.
  • Write persuasive sales copy about the item to provide the potential customer with enough information about the item’s appearance, condition, size, color, shape, composition, brand, model, size, and other descriptive detail.
  • Measure and weigh items accurately, inclusive of the packaging.
  • Post items for sale on eBay and other markets as needed.
  • Retrieve merchandise from shelves, place merchandise into appropriate packaging, affix shipping labels, and stage merchandise in preparation for shipping.
  • Keep accurate records utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other software of items posted, sold, sales price, inventory, origin, and destination.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries from customers in a timely manner, and support customer on-site pickup of purchased items.
  • Use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. to move product in, out, and within the warehouse.
  • Facilitate the flow of goods to the store listing stage.
  • Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner with clean-up activities performed

throughout the day. • Assist with all departmental functions, as need including shipping, sorting product, listing product, storing product, and testing product.


Additional Information

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent desired
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience in a similar environment preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management, and co-workers. Above average grammar, spelling, and writing skills. Basic computer skills including but not limited to use of the Microsoft Office suite, internet browsers, payroll program, and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC. Ability to use basic math skills. Good speaking, hearing, and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Travel:

Able and willing to travel to various stores, warehouse, and ARC as needed. Attend training opportunities as assigned by the Administrator.

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a mixture of typical office, warehouse, and store environments. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather.
