Job Position: Part-time Driver

Position Summary:
Son of a Saint is looking for a part-time driver to join our team. This position will support the Son of a Saint Programming Team by assisting with the transportation of Son of a Saint mentees to and from scheduled programming activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with Son of a Saint staff to develop and implement a transportation plan for Son of a Saint mentees in need of rides to and from scheduled Son of a Saint activities.
Effectively communicate with guardians regarding mentee pick-up and drop-off times
Maintain respectful and professional conduct communicate expectations and transportation plans with mentees
Notify appropriate Son of a Saint staff members of any issues related to mentees and/or the vehicle
Properly maintain assigned Son of a Saint work vehicle, to include, scheduled maintenance and cleaning; ensuring vehicle is ready to transport at all times
Implement crisis response plan with any emergencies that may arise while in transit
Support Son of a Saint staff members and monitor mentees for safety at programming events
Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience working with youth
Ability to work collaboratively with Son of a Saint staff, mentors, mentee guardians, and various members and groups from the community
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and is able to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of event planning practices and techniques
Must be at least age 21 or older, possess a valid Driver's License, be licensed for over 5 years and meet minimum requirements to be insured
Insurance Requirements:
Should not have three or more accidents (regardless of fault) in the last three years
Should not have any Major Violations
Should not have any combination of accidents and violations which equal three or more in the last
Major Violations include: Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, Failure to stop/report an accident, Reckless driving/speeding contest, Driving while impaired, Homicide, manslaughter or assault arising out of the use of a vehicle, Making a false accident report, Driving with a suspended/revoked license, Attempting to elude a police officer
