We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department. ```Duties```
- Assist customers in selecting bakery products and provide recommendations
- Package and label bakery items for display and sale
- Prepare and decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and slicers
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
```Requirements```
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong understanding of retail math for pricing and weighing products
- Excellent sales skills to upsell bakery items to customers
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or bakery setting preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Culinary background or training is beneficial but not required
