Part Time Consultant Pharmacist (Charleston, Dorchester, And Jasper Counties)

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy - We provide pharmacy services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) throughout the United States. Founded in 2007, Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is "America's IDD Pharmacy" with a 100% focus on servicing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This is accomplished by a talented team of over 400 dedicated associates operating from 10 pharmacy locations in Texas, Louisiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Our services are available in 23 states, and we service over 21,000 individuals across 500 distinct locations nationwide. Our services originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local Tarrytown (Austin, TX) community since 1941. We are seeking a Part Time Consultant Pharmacist to support our clinets in the "Lowcountry" of South Carolina.
The ideal candidate values strong / trusted relationships with the IDD clients we serve, has strong industry and/or regulatory knowledge in the Group Home/Residential and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) settings, ability to develop a strong understanding and situational application of Tarrytown Expocare's operational capabilities, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

• Home auditing: inspect a group home for administration accuracy, documentation, expired/missing medications, and storage requirements.
• Complete required reports
• Attend psychotropic drug reviews and discuss current medication regimen efficacy, behavior, side effects, dosage ranges, laboratory monitoring, changes, insurance issues and any other medication related questions that may arise.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the South Carolina State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred
• Must possess a South Carolina State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred
• Experience with QS1, FrameworkLTC and/or DocuTrack preferred
• Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, sponsorship not available

Travel required Charleston, Dorchester, and Jasper counties of South Carolina.
