We’re currently looking for a Part Time Caregiver in Redondo Beach, CA 90277

JOB ID 16300 - A lovely family in Redondo Beach is seeking a Part Time Caregiver for their 90 year old mother to start as soon as possible. Care is needed Tuesdays from 6pm-10pm, Wednesdays from 2pm-9pm, Fridays from 4pm-9pm. There is a possibility of an additional day to be offered. The client enjoys watching television, occasional reading, and getting her hair and nails done. The client is not very receptive to receiving care, however, she understands that she needs the support. She is prone to falls, wears adult Depends, uses a walker (provider should be within an arm’s reach), and will use a wheelchair for longer distances. The client’s daughter, son in law, and grandson will be in the home, however, the client has their own space upstairs with everything they need access to. There is a friendly cat in the home, however, no pet care is needed. A great candidate will be easy going, nurturing, and be able to respect the client’s boundaries.

• Start date: ASAP
• Length of Position: 2 months, possibility to extend
• Compensation: $30 per hour + gas reimbursement when driving the client

Schedule:

• Tuesdays, 6pm-10pm
• Wednesdays, 2pm-9pm
• Fridays, 4pm-9pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cooking light meals for client
• Driving client to appointments + other activities; furthest distance ~10 miles
• Encouraging independence for client when appropriate
• Hygiene assistance including incontinence care + showering once per week
• Taking client’s vitals once per week (BP + pulse)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional caregiving experience
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must speak fluent English
• Must have a valid driver’s license + clean driving record
• Must have a reliable vehicle to transport client
• Must be able to physically climb stairs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
