Part-time Assistant Public Housing Clerk

The Springfield Housing Authority, consistent with its equal opportunity and affirmative action policies, invites applicants for the position of Assistant District Clerk. This is a temporary part-time position with no benefits that potentially can become a regular part-time job. Rate: $19.65 per hour, 19 hours/ week.

Assistant District Clerk

The Assistant District Clerk works in one of our property management offices and is responsible for the following:

• Answering phones.
• Greeting tenants and other visitors.
• Documenting and distributing parking stickers.
• Posting checks and preparing bank deposits.
• Posting legal charges. Preparing landlord verifications.
• Filing
• Other administrative support duties

Previous experience in a fast-paced office. Ability to navigate through information systems software. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate with a diverse population. Previous experience in an office setting. Bi-lingual preferred.
