Part-Time Aides
position can be used to assist with the supervision of students during non-instructional activities before, during, and/or after the school day. Part-Time Aides can work for the school, but for no longer than 3.75 hours each day.
Some examples of duties that can be performed by Part-Time Aides include assisting with supervision of students:
- During lunch and/or recess period(s)
- During study halls (to only be held during non-instructional minutes)
- During in-school suspensions
- During student entry/exit
- In and around the school building
Part-Time Aides must have the following qualifications:
- High school degree or GED equivalent (required)
- One year of experience in the supervision of children in an organized setting (preferred)
- Ability to work with and for school children
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to learn and follow school and district policies, procedures, and expectations.
