Part-Time After School Teacher

Responsibilities of this job include:

-Working with the lead teacher to supervise and interact with children in their daily after school activities.

-Participating in and Leading fun and interactive large group activities and games.

-Guiding and interacting with children during after school activities such as arts and crafts, stories, dramatic play, etc...

-Assisting the lead teacher with classroom management, and interacting with parents at the end of the day as children are being picked up from school.

-Ensuring all center policies and State regulations are being followed.

-Ensuring a healthy classroom environment.

-Assist in all closing duties of the school (cleaning, locking doors, ensuring classroom is ready for the next day, etc...)

Requirements:

-High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents).

-Strong communication skills in interacting with parents and teachers each day.

-Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification

-Must clear full background and fingerprint check and must pass health screening.

-Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry Membership within 3 months of assuming the position

-Assistant Teacher Certification

-Strong Classroom Management Skills

The potential hours of this job would be Monday, Tuesday Thursday 2:00pm to 5:00pm, with opportunities for extra subbing hours if desired.
