The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Accounting Analyst Intern to start in Q1 2024. You will be responsible for working closely with the Finance Manager and our CFO on accounting and finance operations. You will help with ad hoc projects that keep the business moving. You will have the opportunity to shadow our finance team members and gain well rounded experience within finance, accounting, and tax.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with adhoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Must be graduating between May 2024 and May 2025.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with industry-specific accounting software (NetSuite is a plus)
- Prior internship or relevant work experience in accounting is a plus.
Education
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Location
- This role will require you to be working from our NYC - Midtown East office at least 2 days a week for at least 20 hours per week.
The hourly rate for this position is: $27.5/hour. This internship role is not eligible for benefits or paid time off.
