Part-Time Accountant For A Transportation Company With Quickbooks Experience

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our trucking company team.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports and statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties:

- Perform bank reconciliations in QuickBooks Online and ensure accuracy of transactions

- Entering new and sold equipment into QB Online

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records

- Independently and accurate resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare drivers` payroll statements

- Invoicing, A/R follow up, and other accounting related duties as assigned

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other regulations

- Assisting in driver hiring and safety compliance process (e.g., collecting applications; motor vehicle record checks; scheduling drug/alcohol testing; verify previous employment)

- Performs other duties and projects as assigned (e.g. follow up on insurance claims; file insurance and bond claims).

Experience:
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Familiarity with trucking accounting principles is a plus
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluent English

Job Hours:

Monday-Friday anytime between 7 am and 4 pm. Approximately 15 hours a week. Office is located in Plainfield, IL 60585.
