Position Overview:
Working closely with Parkside OB-GYN's managers, this position plays a critical role in the day-to-day maintenance of PSOB’s provider schedules. The incumbent will be responsible for various tasks requiring adaptability, sound judgment and critical-thinking skills to include monitoring and updating provider schedules, communicating regularly with various stakeholders when changes occur, quality control and ensuring adherence to established processes, and completing tasks and projects as assigned. The Scheduling Analyst must be able to use analytical, problem-solving skills to identify errors and troubleshoot with realistic solutions. This position requires strong ability to clearly communicate with others regarding the schedule as needed, while always role modeling the Tribe Way.
Responsibilities:
1. Daily Prepping and Monitoring of Schedule including but not limited to:
a. Provider capacity
b. Quality control (i.e. investigating and correcting scheduling errors)
c. Communicating with internal departments
2. Managing Cancellation/Work-in List
3. Communicating with patients in regard to future appointment needs and reschedules
4. Building/altering provider templates
5. Weekly Availability Report and Daily Capacity Report updates, in addition to other reports as needed
6. Seasonal template projects and other projects as assigned (blocking/removing Templates, PSOB Requests, etc)
Required Skills & Education:
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with eClinical Works, and a medical provider’s schedule preferred.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
- Ability to travel locally to other Tribe locations up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
