Job Title:Laundry Assistant

Weekly Hours: Part- Time, 10-20 hrs./wk. based on office needs

Supervised by: Director of Operations

Posting: External/ Location: Verdae

Position Overview: Manages cleaning, folding, and stocking all Parkside OB-GYN linen in order to help support day-to-day practice operations. Responsible for reporting laundry inventory levels to Director of Operations to ensure adequate inventory is available. 

Responsibilities:

• Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and stocking linen.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
• Keeping an updated list of inventory and laundry supplies.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.

Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of washing products, types of fabric and the proper procedures for each type of material
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Environmental/Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to potentially dangerous/infectious materials and situations that require following extensive safety may be requires and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.

Physical Demands:

Ability to perform moderate physical activity. Will require handling/lifting objects (up to 50 lbs) or standing/sitting/walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
