PARKING GARAGE COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY:

The Parking Garage Coordinator at Union Rescue Mission plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe parking of vehicles for guests, volunteers, and staff members. This position involves directing guests and volunteers to appropriate parking spaces, enforcing parking permits, and registering vehicles. The Parking Garage Coordinator is also responsible for preventing unauthorized vehicles and individuals from entering the parking area. Additionally, the registration of bicycles is an important aspect of this role.

PARKING GARAGE COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safely guide guests, volunteers, and staff members to available parking spaces within the designated parking area.
• Ensure the proper enforcement of parking permits and registration requirements for all vehicles entering the parking area.
• Register and document vehicle information, including license plate numbers, make, model, and color, to maintain an accurate record of parked vehicles.
• Monitor the parking area to prevent unauthorized vehicles and individuals from entering, taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Provide clear and concise directions and instructions to guests and volunteers regarding parking procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, volunteers, and staff members; offer assistance and answer any parking-related questions.
• Assist with the registration and documentation of bicycles, ensuring proper storage and security measures are in place.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain cleanliness and organization within the parking area.
• Report any parking-related issues, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or department.
• Manages entire garage coordinating with maintenance/EVS any repairs need, or areas of cleanliness.
• coordinates signing out of all URM (Union Rescue Mission) vehicles. Ensuring the safe keeping of keys, and vehicles.
• Conduct other duties and projects assigned by the Director of Facilities & Operational Chaplain.
• Commitment to URM (Union Rescue Mission) mission, vision, and core values.
• Encourage guests in their faith and growth in Jesus Christ.

PARKING GARAGE COORDINATOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Manual dexterity required for reaching, lifting objects, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

PARKING GARAGE COORDINATOR EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURES:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in parking management or customer service preferred.
• A valid CA Driver's License, required.

PARKING GARAGE COORDINATOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately record information.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle registration and parking permit enforcement.
• Familiarity with bicycle registration processes and storage protocols.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Good physical stamina, as the role may require standing, walking, and occasionally lifting heavy objects.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
