PARK SERVICES ATTENDANT

TEAM AFFILIATIONS: Park Services (100%)

REPORTS TO: Park Services Manager (Guest/Facilities)

STATUS: Part-time (Evenings and Weekends)

DESCRIPTION:

The Park Services team is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and crafting unforgettable experiences for all park guests. We are seeking a Park Services Attendant who will take part in our quest to Engage the Community by focusing on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, striving to ensure a memorable visit. The Park Services Attendant is eager to provide accurate and helpful information and their passion for excellence will help to fuel guests' desire to return, ensuring continued community support.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

(60%) Guest Services/Hospitality: “Creating an atmosphere where all park guests feel welcomed”.

· Readily available to share information with park guests as it relates to programming and events, general park information, and wayfinding.

· Readily available and adequately trained to troubleshoot issues that may occur that have the potential to adversely affect guest experience.

· Assisting and directing the flow of traffic as it relates to the homeless population and the intellectually and developmentally disabled.

· Champion the park guest experience for private parties and event rentals by acting as event host, meeting, greeting, and welcoming guests and event partners.

· Assist with events and programming execution, including set up, activity management, guest experiences, and logistics.

· Greet guests in the dog parks to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for both canine companions and their owners.

· Proactively reporting altercations and incidents via the appropriate department protocol. Employing good judgement and communication skills.

(30%) Facilities Maintenance: “Ensuring a smooth operation for optimal guest experience”.

·Perform general parking operation duties including but not limited to assisting with the flow of traffic and payments, troubleshooting parking kiosk when needed, restocking ticket and receipt paper, facilitating loading, and unloading as well as monitoring inventory.

· Coordinate electrical and facilities needs prior to private party events/rentals.

· Assist with Dog Park operations by maintaining a clean, stocked environment and reporting any facilities maintenance issues and troubleshooting as directed.

· Perform routine bathroom checks, ensuring maintaining optimal cleanliness and working order.

· Maintaining the cleanliness and general maintenance of the splashpad through leaf management and troubleshooting directed by Park Services Managers.

(10%) Waste and Litter Control: “Modeling waste management and litter abatement for our community.”

· Monitoring trash/recycling receptacles, changing as needed while ensuring park grounds remain litter free.

· Frequent monitorization of all applicable stations ensuring litter free grounds.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is a physically demanding job. The role may require lifting and carrying equipment, supplies, or other objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Employees should be able to lift and maneuver objects safely and walk/stand for long periods to perform job duties effectively.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of the job, it is essential to be aware of and prepared for the physical demands and outdoor nature of the working conditions.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
