The Park Ranger Supervisor (age 18+) is responsible for a Security staff that enforces park rules to ensure the highest quality stay and safety for our guests. This is a SEASONAL, full-time position and reports to the Assistant General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily Duties
    • Conducts briefings at the start of new shifts to inform Security Staff of pertinent information regarding campus and safety/ security matters
    • Schedules security personnel to cover designated facilities and shifts
    • Maintains the security and safety of the Resort, Guests, Staff, and their property by providing constant vigilance in and around the Resort premises
    • Checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards
    • Checking doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked
    • Fills in security-related job assignments
    • Runs routine inspections of the resort premises
    • Responds to, investigates, and documents any hazards and unusual or suspicious circumstances that arise within the Resort (sorts through conflicting perspectives without taking sides; aware of personal biases and doesn't allow them to affect decisions) and produces detailed documentation of event; escalates issues as necessary to MOD or General Manager.
    • Enforce quiet hours
  • Administrative Duties
    • Helps manage risk and uses contingency plans to face uncertainty and adapt to change
    • Follows all Occupational Health & Safety rules upheld by the Resort
    • Reviews reports from staff for completeness and activity needing follow-up; provides written and oral reports to the Park Operations Manager
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust
    • Remains composed and behaves professionally during emotionally charged or stressful situations
    • Provides guest service in every interaction with guests at the resort
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
  • Previous security experience required
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of security and fire inspection procedures and practices.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in observing situations and decision making
  • Skill in dealing courteously with the public.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with minimal supervision
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Regularly move throughout the park
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
