Paralegal- Remote | Texas Residents Only

```Overview:

We are seeking a highly-organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorney and staff and assist in various legal tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong research and organizational skills to contribute to a dynamic legal practice. Applicants must be Texas residents.

The Soechting Law Firm is a one-attorney firm specializing in personal injury and civil law in Central Texas. Charles Soechting, Sr. is a well-regarded attorney with more than 40 years of experience. He was a successful partner in a prominent firm in Houston, before moving back to his hometown to provide stellar representation in a small firm environment. Additionally, Charles is a past Texas State Democratic Party Chair and served on the Democratic National Committee . He remains active in politics.

Our office consists of an attorney and two in-house staff members, as well as a private investigator. We hope to fill this remote Paralegal position soon..

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research using various resources, including online databases

- Assist attorney in drafting legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs

- Manage and organize case files, including indexing, filing, and retrieving documents

- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits, witnesses, and other necessary materials

- Coordinate with external parties, such as court personnel and opposing counsel

- Maintain document management systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping

- Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses

Requirements:

- Must be a Texas resident.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Proven experience working as a Paralegal or similar role

- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures

- Proficiency in using document management systems, such as Practice Panther.

- Strong research skills with the ability to gather information from various sources

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Familiarity with legal drafting and contract review processes

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with our office team.
