Paralegal - Contracts Specialist

Opportunity:  Contracts Paralegal 

HHM Hotels is an industry-leading hotel management and investment firm that operates over 230 hotels across the United States and Canada, with a portfolio that includes Marriott, Hilton, IHG as well as independent and boutique hotels. 

HHM's business has experienced rapid growth over the past few years and, as the company continues to scale its operations, HHM's legal team is seeking a paralegal to oversee the review and processing of all contracts relating to hotel and corporate operations.  This role will work directly with our purchasing department and operations teams to ensure efficient and thorough review and execution of all contracts through HHM's contract lifecycle management platform (IntelAgree).

The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and processing commercial contracts as well as experience managing a contract lifecycle management platform.  Strong organizational skills are a must given the volume of contracts within our ecosystem.

Your Focuses

• Assist in contract negotiations, including tracking changes, coordinating communications between parties, and facilitating the execution of agreements.
• Maintain and organize an up-to-date contract database.  Assist with continued configuration of HHM's contract lifecycle management system.
• Monitor contract deadlines, renewals, and compliance. 
• Create and maintain contract templates and forms.
• Draft agreements such as contract terminations, new contracts based on forms and other related agreements.
• Provide support to the broader legal team as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the legal department.

Your Background and Skills

• Bachelor's degree required, certification as a Paralegal is a plus. 
• Minimum of one year experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or corporate environment.
• Proven experience with high-volume contract handling is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with contract management software functionality and operation.
