JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pantry Manager is responsible for the overall management and organization of
a non-profit, Atlantic City-based Food Pantry, working collaboratively with the
Executive Director, staff, and volunteers. Tasks include pickup, receipt, storage,
and distribution of food to community members in need.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all aspects of operations, consistent with our mission, values, and
expectations
Supervise food distributions, donations, and deliveries
Order food and maintain appropriate inventory
Ensure food is sorted and stored in a safe and sanitary manner and safety
and security procedures are followed, as required by the Community Food
Bank of New Jersey and the U.S. Department of Agriculture
Train and manage Pantry volunteers to ensure client needs are met
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Pantry
Collect and report data and prepare reports
Report on maintenance of facilities and equipment
Serve those in need with kindness and compassion
SKILLS REQUIRED
At least 2+ years’ experience as a manager or supervisor
Flexibility (ability to work with diverse personalities and to adjust to changes)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to walk, stand, and lift boxes up to 50 lbs.Responsibilities:
