Job Summary:
- Respond to calls promptly, courteously, and professionally; request, receive, and manages calls as required. Calls directed appropriately, and messages delivered on time and accurately.
- Visitors and personnel should be greeted in a helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and timely manner.
- Maintain track of patient admissions and discharges in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain a calendar of service for patients using an electronic scheduling system.
- Communicate with field personnel on a daily basis about any visits that are late, pending, or incomplete, and addresses them as necessary.
- Coordinate visits that have been requested, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and provided.
- Physician orders are properly entered into the patient's medical records.
- Coordinate employee/patient scheduling
- Assist and support clinical managers, and other clinical personnel as required.
- Operate and maintain fax machine, copier/printer/scanner, and other office equipment.
- Scan and fax documents as needed, generate labels, and produce copy and print jobs.
- Keep administrative and clinical supplies in good working order.
- Assist with the orientation process and training of new employees or volunteers as needed
- Other responsibilities as given by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Previous experience in physician office management, home care, hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
High school graduate or GED with training in business and secretarial skills(preferred).
Strong computer skill required. Must be proficient within Microsoft word, excel, email
Ability to communicate in English vocally and in writing, as well as work collaboratively with other members of the team and the general public.
